Air Products is the world's leading supplier of helium. Found in only a few natural gas wells, mainly in the USA, Russia and Algeria, helium is a high value gas. Helium has unique characteristics which make it an essential component for numerous applications. It is colourless, odourless, inert and inflammable and importantly, is lighter than air. One obvious application for helium therefore is as a balloon gas for the party and leisure industry.
